Tattoo in Berlin

sometimes it might hurt like hell, but isn’t it worth it?

I first saw Mele’s art on the @themakeandmary instagram page 3 weeks before the universe decided we needed to meet in person!  I was immediately drawn in by the simple details, the floral elements, the gorgeous lines and all the vibes. So obviously I had to follow. Literally one day after I start following Mele, she posts on her stories -anyone in Berlin want a design as a tattoo- I took a screenshot of her post after thinking... huh?! I wonder if that message was for me (I was leaving for Berlin in 10 days). At first I resisted the urge to reach out. What if she thought I was weird or creepy? Also, super afraid of traveling out of the country for the first time ever (and by myself) I wasn’t sure I would actually make it on the plane.

Then the day before I left Las Vegas, I sent Mele a DM. Something long and drawn out about how I was a total fan and saw her post the week before. How I thought it was magic that guided me to her page, and asked if maybe I could get a tattoo from her while visiting.  and she responded and said yes! Just 18 days after @meledelayglesia’s instagram account crossed my path, we were meeting on the other side of the world.  Only her sixth tattoo ever and the first Instagram friend she let over to her house... I left Germany with the most beautiful souvenir I ever could have imagined from an artist in admire. An instant friendship emerged from me trusting that happiness could be found outside of my comfort zone and allowing my soul to shine through. The universe has a magical way of showing us our path to love and joy. It definitely isn’t always easy to see at first but completely possible. I aligned with my intuition and everything came in to focus.  Are you connected to the path you are on? I used to allow fear to run the program. Now, to overpower any fear I’m holding on to, I am letting in love in order to transform. I define magic as the little or big sparks of life that show up to remind us we are love. sometimes it might hurt like hell, but isn’t it worth it? I think so. love always ashlyn
